Acceptable Use Policy
What you may and may not do with Markey.
2026-05-13
1. Scope
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) applies to everyone who uses Markey, whether on a free or paid plan. It is incorporated into our Terms of Service by reference. Violating this AUP is a violation of the Terms and can result in suspension or termination of your account.
2. Prohibited Content
You may not use Markey (including its AI image, video, or text generation features) to create, request, host, distribute, or solicit any of the following:
2.1 Sexual and adult content
- Sexually explicit, pornographic, or NSFW imagery, video, or text, including nudity, sexual acts, or sexually suggestive depictions.
- Content marketed, labelled, or framed as “adult,” “18+,” “NSFW,” “uncensored,” or “unfiltered.”
- Adult chatbots, virtual companions of a sexual nature, or erotica generators.
- Any sexual content depicting, implying, or sexualising minors (CSAM). Reports of suspected CSAM are forwarded to NCMEC and the relevant authorities.
- Non-consensual intimate imagery (“revenge porn”) or sexual content depicting identifiable real people without their explicit consent.
2.2 Identity manipulation
- Deepfakes, face-swaps, face-manipulation tools, voice clones, or any output designed to impersonate a real person without their explicit, documented consent.
- Content intended to defraud, mislead, or deceive: forged documents, fake identification, manipulated evidence, or synthetic media of public figures presented as authentic.
2.3 Violence, hate, and harm
- Content that promotes, incites, or glorifies violence, self-harm, suicide, terrorism, or extremist ideologies.
- Hateful, harassing, or discriminatory content targeting any person or group on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
- Graphic gore, torture, animal cruelty, or content created to shock or distress.
2.4 Illegal and high-risk uses
- Anything unlawful under the laws of your jurisdiction or the jurisdiction in which Markey operates.
- Drugs, alcohol, tobacco, vaping products, weapons, ammunition, gambling, or pharmaceuticals.
- Multi-level marketing, pyramid schemes, get-rich-quick offers, or other deceptive business models.
- Spyware, stalkerware, surveillance tools, or any product whose primary purpose is to invade a person's privacy.
- Counterfeit goods, content that violates intellectual-property rights, or content downloaded from third-party platforms in violation of their terms.
3. Prohibited Behaviour
You may not, and may not enable others to:
- Bypass, disable, or attempt to circumvent rate limits, quotas, authentication, content moderation, safety filters, or any other security control of the Service.
- Market or describe Markeyto others as a way to evade content moderation, generate “uncensored” outputs, or produce content prohibited above.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, scrape, or replicate the Service except where applicable law expressly permits.
- Resell, sublicense, or white-label the Service without our written consent.
- Use the Service to send unsolicited bulk communications (spam), phishing, or social-engineering attacks.
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service except under our published responsible-disclosure programme. See Security.
4. AI Moderation
Every prompt submitted to Markey's AI image or video generation features is screened by automated content moderation before the prompt reaches the generation model. This screening runs in two layers: our own safety classifier and the moderation API operated by Creem, our payment partner. Prompts that fail either layer are rejected and never sent to a generation model.
Repeated attempts to submit prohibited prompts will result in account suspension. Markey reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account, with or without notice, when it believes in good faith that a violation has occurred.
5. Third-Party Model Providers
Markey integrates with third-party AI model providers including OpenRouter, Replicate, and the underlying model creators (such as OpenAI for image models). Markey is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of these providers. References to provider or model names in our product or documentation describe technical integrations only.
Markeyis fully responsible for the outputs its platform enables, and does not accept “the third-party model did it” as a defence. You are accountable for the prompts you submit and the outputs you publish or share.
6. Reporting Violations
If you encounter content or behaviour on Markey that violates this AUP, please report it to [email protected]. Include URLs, screenshots, or any other context that helps us investigate. We respond to credible reports within 3 business days.
7. Changes
We may update this AUP from time to time as our Service evolves and as new abuse patterns emerge. Material changes will be announced by email or in-app notice; the “last updated” date above always reflects the current version.
